What is Sensory Acuity
Simply put, sensory acuity is your ability to recognize finer and finer distinctions in each of your senses.
Someone with a strong auditory sensory acuity will be able to hear finer and finer distinctions in sounds.
Someone with a high kinesthetic sensory acuity will be able to notice finer and finer distinctions based on feel.
And having a high visual sensory acuity is like seeing the world in High Definition.
The stronger our senses are, the more detail we are able to notice in the world. Our senses are our only interface with the world around us so this is extremely important thing to practice, especially if we are weak in one of our sensory systems.
Not only that, but increasing our sensory acuity also increases out memory in multiple ways.
When we are able to store something that we want to remember in multiple sensory systems it makes up much more apt to remember it. For example, if we can’t remember what we saw, we can have a backup memory system based on what we heard, felt, or what we told ourselves about it.
Not everyone has perfect vision, or great hearing, or a fine sense of touch – but in most circumstances these can be built and improved with focused practice.
That is the purpose of this Implementation Pack.
Feel free to skip around to the sense that you would most like to improve and practice the exercises. Even feel free to get creative and generate your own exercises to practice and if you are an INSIDERS member feel free to share in the Private Facebook Group.
When I first learned NLP I had a very weak sense of sight, which improved greatly over the months following the training so I speak from experience when I say that these exercises can really help!
